Digital marketing, SEO and PPC for a successful language school

In order to target Live Language’s desired countries we implemented a PPC campaign which was split into 3 different ad groups with each ad written in the targeted countries native language.

The Project

Live Language is one of Scotland’s most successful and well respected language schools. They offer a wide range of courses covering languages such as mandarin, Spanish, French and of course English.  Live Language appointed The Zen Agency to drive online traffic to the website from a set list of targeted countries including Hungary, Spain and Italy as well as increase the number of people signing up for their English courses. 

In addition their Facebook channel had a rather low number of likes in comparison with some of their main competitors in Glasgow and the UK.

At the beginning of the project we undertook a website audit of the Live Language website and identified and fixed a number of problems which may have been affecting their ability to rank successfully within the search engines.  This included a number of things including 404 error pages and oversized images.

In order to target Live Language’s desired countries we implemented a PPC campaign which was split into 3 different ad groups with each ad written in the targeted countries native language.

We worked in conjunction with Live Language and conducted keyword research for each of the native languages; this allowed us to make sure we were targeting phrases in the correct manner for each country. 

We implemented a Facebook campaign which was targeting specific EU countries set out by Live Language, this campaign was to increase the number of likes on the page.

The Results

Working together with Live Language we have achieved some very positive results within a restricted budget. Over the course of the campaign we achieved an average CPC of only £0.12 and a click through rate of 0.93%. 

In addition to the PPC campaign the SEO campaign which we implemented has achieved an increase in organic traffic year on year by 20%. 

Working within a limited budget we managed to attract on average 1000 likes per week to the Live Language Facebook page. This provided a whole new audience to promote both their content and services to. 

Princes Trust Zen worked with Prince's Trust designing two mobile apps as well as conducted UX interviews and testing with young people enrolled in the program.
