Turning Point Scotland
Categories: Public and Non profit making sectors
Turning Point Scotland has a long history of providing high quality social care services to a range of people across Scotland, originally founded in 1964 under a different name TPS now provides a wide variety of unique services across many regional areas. Turning Point appointed The Zen Agency to provide a new intranet system. There were 3 key objectives which had to be met through the project:
- To provide Turning Point Scotland with an intranet system which is clean tidy and easy to use.
- To provide easy access to the intranet regardless of device
- To provide a useful site that enhances work practices, communicates key information, provides the right navigation tools, and helps define organizational culture.
The Zen Agency developed the new intranet system on the Umbraco CMS. This system is fully responsive allowing for ease of use on all platforms. The new platform is highly engaging through integration with social feeds, and a more flexible use of all media types including videos and compelling images.
Much like any website the focus for the project was providing an optimum user experience for the different user groups. Through the creation of different user personas and planned user journeys we were able to create a website which supported each user group and was ultimately intuitive in its nature.
The intranet has a whole host of functionality including a bespoke booking system, discussion forum and vacancies section.
Additional functionality such as allowing users to favourite specific sections will help increase overall productivity through the system.
The new intranet system has provided TPS the platform to enhance their work practices. Real time information such as the latest news can be easily delivered through the CMS.
Feedback has been positive with users particularly enjoying the the engaging and interactive feel of the platform.
Full training was provided to TPS on the new system and we continue to support them on their new platform on a day to day basis.

Some kind words from our clients
I worked with Zen to develop a new website for the charity MND Scotland. Our developer Scott and designer John were fantastic. Always extremely helpful, patient and offering solutions when needed. Designing a new website is never easy but they certainly helped make it a much more seamless task. We have received lots of great feedback on the new website and are extremely happy with the finished product.

"Zen Agency have managed the Chivas Brothers intranet platform for over one year now and have proved to be a highly responsive, efficient and reliable agency partner. The Zen Team are often required to work to tight deadlines and have consistently delivered exceptional service levels and always within budget."
The team at Zen have provided excellent service and quality of work since the latter part of 2015 when we got them in to do our first ever SEO campaign. Given it was the first time we had embarked on a project like this at Howden, the team at Zen were in regular contact with us providing us with updates and improvements to make the campaign a success, whilst also ensuring our original budget was put to effective use and never strayed beyond the agreed amount.
The Zen Agency have worked hard with us to find a workable solution to help us with on-line applications. This site is our main marketing tool and therefore it is important that we have a reliable web company to support us to achieve our marketing goals. The top priority was to make it easy for applicants to find out information about our courses and to apply - feedback from our students indicates we have achieved this.
"The Zen Agency created exciting internet design concepts, which were perfect for our young audience, blending sport and education. They created a modern look and feel; then carried this design across our social media to bring it all together."
