Zen was tasked with creating a new website for a charity campaign, 'Proud To Farm Scottish Salmon' which highlights the hard work and diligence of Scottish Salmon Farmers.

Scottish salmon farming has come a long way since the first ever salmon farm, which was established forty years ago at Loch Ailort. Through their hard work, those involved in the industry contribute a huge amount to their local communities, both socially and economically and the Salmon they produce is now Scotland's top food export.

The new site pays tribute to the men and women who brave all weather conditions to provide markets around the world with fresh salmon and allows visitors to learn about the economic benefits of the Scottish salmon farming industry.

Zen created a site which acts as a news hub for 'Proud To Farm Scottish Salmon', allowing those involved to post and send out all the latest in the industry through a range of channels, all from one content management system (CMS).

We also helped the charity develop a social media strategy providing it with a two way communication’s channel allowing it to connect to the right people and creating a sense of community online.

The site receives a growing number of hits daily, increasing the interest in Scotland's salmon fishing industry and educating visitors on the hard work being carried out every day by Scottish salmon farmers. The site's social media presence sky rocketed almost overnight with followers increasing by 154% in the first week of launch.
