We worked with luxury ice-cream maker, Mackie's of Scotland, to create a new user generated website for both their ice-cream and crisp products that showcased their extensive product ranges. Mackie's is a very traditional brand and has some very much loved products, notably their luxury vanilla ice-cream. They came to us looking for an overhaul of their old website and to promote their new potato crisp products.
The Mackies crisp website was initially launched to much success. The Mackies website followed shortly after, this was redesigned and developed as part of a project to manage both sites through the one content management system (CMS).
After consumer research into what Mackie’s consumers want, we created a modern website that focused on maximising brand awareness, online presence and interaction with their consumers. The website was full of user generated content such as recipes and how best to enjoy Mackie’s products. In addition it incorporated bespoke marketing software that allows Mackie’s to communicate with their database, Friends of Mackie’s as and when they see fit and track the success of their online campaigns. Another key feature of the site was the introduction of social media marketing and content sharing which became integral to Mackie's of Scotland online strategy.
We provided integration of the CMS to allow publishing to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter allowed Mackie’s to engage with their users easily.
We designed and developed the site to naturally builds authority and brand awareness through an increased number of users and return visits, driven by new content and user comments.
