Founded in 2000 and located in the capital of Edinburgh, Good Practice has firmly established themselves as one of the UK's leading providers of online learning solutions. They operate on a global basis and have clients located across Europe, America, Australia and Asia.
Good Practice commissioned The Zen Agency to revamp their current online offering which was not accurately reflecting the high quality service which they provide.
A key focus of the project was to enhance the overall user experience of the website
The Zen Agency created a user centred design with a focus on meeting the needs of the targeted audience. The design made it easy for users to fulfil key objectives through strategically placed calls to action. The new visual look and feel for the website is clean, modern and exciting which reflects the innovative brand and work development programmes which Good Practice provides.
To keep consistency across all channels we followed the provided brand guidelines from Good Practice. This maintained a consistency of fonts and colours throughout the website.
We created a responsive design website based on an effective user interface design that worked seamlessly across all tablets, smart phones and mobile devices.
We chose to build the new Good Practice website on the Umbraco CMS. This is an extremely flexible and easy to use open source system.
Good Practice requested a number of key features to be included in the build, all of which come as standard with Zen projects. This included integration with social channels, Google Analytics, ability to post videos and custom built enquiry forms.
The website was fully integrated with SalesForce allowing any information captured on the new site to be pushed directly to the salesforce system.
After extensive user experience research and the wireframing process we were able to create a clear intuitive navigation structure which allowed users to quickly and easily find the information which they were looking for in the minimum number of clicks.
User Experience Design
In order to create the optimum design of the new Good Practice website we undertook a range of A/B testing for a more scientific approach to the design. This is a form of testing two elements against each other and using results to determine which one to pursue.
